Release Day Blitz: Whisper by Heather Hildenbrand

Whisper by Heather Hildenbrand
New Adult Paranormal Fantasy

The Cherokee believe when a person dies, their soul is reborn. Life is repeated. An endless cycle of lessons to be learned, love to be found, destiny to be fulfilled. For the past six months, in every flower, every bird, I’ve imagined my parents, relieved of their human forms.

Now, after five months at the Skye View Wellness Center, it was summer. A time for parties and friends, but that’s the last thing I want to do. So when my best friend Erin convinces me to attend a bonfire at Eagle Point, I can’t handle the crowd full of sympathetic stares or drunken class clowns who would use my tragedy as a way into my heart – or my pants. The solitude of the woods offers an escape, until I stumble upon a boy, unconscious and bleeding, his pockets stuffed not with identification but with poetry illustrating the beauty of dying. I’ve seen enough death. I will not leave this boy’s side.

Even after he wakes, when the only thing he can remember are visions of events that haven’t happened yet…

Review: Breakdown (Crash Into Me - Book One) by Amanda Lance

Charlotte Ferro is about to jump.

Yet nothing ruins a perfectly good suicide attempt worse than a handsome do-gooder. After William O’Reilly convinces her to take one last ride with him, Charlotte finds herself forgetting about her own problems and enjoying a world of which she never dreamed.

Now addicted to the rush of fast cars and cool criminals, Charlotte finds herself leaning less towards the ledge and more toward the arms of her savior. But with reasons of his own for keeping Charlotte safe from herself, William is reluctant to involve her in his criminal undertakings. Will his career choice keep them apart? Will Charlotte’s painful past?

Review:

4 STARS!!!!

I started out worried that something tragic was going to happen at the very beginning. Those types of books always leave me in a blubbering mess by the end so I was about to get the tissues when William came by and saved me.

Breakdown is about a girl that almost, ALMOST took her life, but an angel - a very sexy one- came to her rescue on that fateful day changing things forever.

William was amazing. Hot only partially covers it. I loved his sense of humor. I guess I felt that I connected to him some with the car and racing. Yes I use to be really involved with the whole car and race thing. Not as much now but there was a day that I would of probably drooled at just the look of his car and the thought of the rev of the engine and the running from the cops could make me cum in my panties. I loved William.

As far as Jumper goes. She was a little harder to digest. I get the beginning. I definitely get the adrenaline rush/junkie. What I had problems with was the occasional times she acted immature. I felt for her, for what she had to go through. No one should have to go through life with all that weighing on her. I'm happy how things turned out.

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. If you like cars and a sad turned to really happy story then this is a great book for you.

Unsettled (book #1) is on Sale
After a horrific breakup with her long-time boyfriend, Brooklyn Caldwell is completely disenchanted with the notion of mingling with the opposite sex. Damon Williams had been everything she thought she wanted…until he wasn’t. In an attempt to escape her heartbreaking past, Brooklyn seeks refuge in bustling Washington DC where she folds into the fast paced society unnoticed…until she meets a young entrepreneur, Logan Colton. Brooklyn is surprised to find that while she has been successful in keeping the opposite sex at bay, somehow she is defenceless against Logan’s confidence and charm—and it doesn’t hurt that he is absurdly beautiful. While thrilled with Logan’s candour, Brooklyn hesitates, as she can’t seem to move past the heartache that she suffered at the hands of Damon. As much as Logan didn’t plan on pursuing her, he is drawn to Brooklyn’s muted beauty and her witty persona. For all his success, Logan is ensnared in the coveted world of unequivocal wealth and power, but behind closed doors is taunted by demons and an undeniable need to atone for a monumental mistake. As the two embark on a tumultuous obstacle course saturated with unknown twists and turns, Brooklyn is left to question whether she can endure the journey ahead.

Review: Let Love Live by Melissa Collins

Who would you become if you lost the only person who ever mattered?

For twenty-six year old Dylan Hopkins, the answer is easy. He’s become no one. Memories of the happier times are all he has left as he finds himself meandering numbly through his now dull life. Though he cares about his work and family dearly, he’s yet to let himself find love again. Afraid of letting go of what he once had, Dylan chooses to keep his heart buried, where it belongs, having died a long time ago.

Conner Michelson is about to change everything Dylan knows. He’s every bit the bad boy persona - tatted up, ex-MMA fighter, but after an injury leaves him unable to fight, he has to rethink his goals. Having just opened his own gym, Conner can cross his first major life accomplishment off his very short list. Next up: find a man he can settle down with and build a family. Seems simple enough - a dream most people have, but when he meets Dylan, his carefree, easy-going life is thrown into a tailspin.

Determined to keep Dylan in his life, Conner vows to resurrect Dylan's long ago buried heart and let love live once more.

Review:

Let Love Live deserves 10++ stars instead of the measly 5 we are allowed to give. I have always been a fan of M/M Romance books. This was my first book by Melissa Collins and I absolutely LOVED it. My heart raced, I felt the love through out, I cried, and then I felt the happiness. This book will take you through a whirlwind of emotions but they are all worth it.

I loved Shane with a passion. I cried for him. My heart ached for him. I wish there could be more about him. I want more Shane. This man grabbed my heart from the very first page. Even at the end I felt for him and wanted more for him. God if it was only possible to jump in a book. Lol.

How to even explain about Dylan. Hot, sweet, and caring. He loved hard and carried blame even harder. How do we ever really get over our first true love? Dylan shows that though it is hard, with the right person it can be done. Possibly with a few bumps in the road. I loved Dylan and my heart ached for him.

Then comes Connor. I wasn't sure at first about him because really, who can replace Shane??? It was hard at first for me to connect with Connor but by date three I was smiling and laughing and happy for them. Though Connor can never take place of my Shane he can be a close second. Lol.

Not many people are fans of M/M books and that is understandable. But if you are going to take a chance on one, this would be a great first book. I have a few that I love and reread often and this has made it on that list. This will definitely be one that I pick up time and time again.
