1. What is your favorite word?

Love. It’s all that matters.

2. What is your least favorite word?

Utilize. I was taught never to use a three-syllable word in a one-syllable word will do. If a person says utilize when the word use would have worked just as well, it totally makes me roll my eyes.

3. What turns you on?

Words—sexy ones, silly ones, intelligent ones. I love words and reading and writing and conversation and…*sigh* (Just, you know, not the word utilize.)

4. What turns you off?

Pretentiousness—in society, in literature, in education, in everything. Just, yuck. (See #2)

5. What sound do you love?

My kids’ laughter. Bonus points if they’re laughing together.

6. What sound do you hate?

The sound of a crying baby that isn’t being held (I swear it’s a different sound than a crying baby that is being held). It kills me.

7. What is your favorite curse word?

F*ck.

No contest.

8. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?

I’ve been writing professionally since 2008, but not until this month was I finally able to leave my day job as a college professor to write full-time. There’s truly nothing I’d rather do than write. That said, if I couldn’t do this anymore, I’d love to get paid to bake!

9. What profession would you not like to do?

Childcare. I don’t know how the daycare providers and preschool teachers of the world keep a smile on all day. Not only can kids be difficult, they have to put up with the parents. Yet, they (the good ones) seem to thrive, despite the demanding work and long days. God bless them, every one.

10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

“What? You think I can’t read?”

Author Bio:

Tabatha's been writing since she could pick up a pencil. Her first publication was a little poem in her elementary school paper, from that point on she was hooked. When she was a teenager, she traded in her girly magazines for personalized writing notebooks.

At nineteen, she met her own personal prince charming and writing took a back burner for a while. She's now married to that prince and the mother of a beautiful seven-year-old princess/rock star. Once her daughter was born, writing came back into her life, and she finished her very first novel, Wicked Fate, in May of 2009.

My Review:

     
     This was a dark, emotional rollercoaster…and I loved the ride. I am pleased to see that this author took some real hard hitting true to life emotions and situations in this book. It was very refreshing to read a book that is so relatable it is almost scary.

     
     Some may find this novel too dark for them, but I found it to be the perfect amount of light and dark. I am a little tired of reading love stories that couldn’t really happen in real life. The Sea of Tranquility was very close to something that could be reality; I got swept away with the danger, excitement and overall intrigue as to what was going on. This book is very suspenseful, almost to the point where I got frustrated…but I didn’t.

      
     The only thing I didn’t like about the book was the title. I feel like something else could fit a lot better; I do see why it is called what it is though, but still I think the title lacks because the book has so much depth. The ending line of this book will just make your heart drop into your stomach. I am really glad I got a chance to read this book; I highly recommend it.

Review:

Ok, so I LOVED this book. A friend recommended it to me and I'm so glad she did. The two main characters were three dimensional and had amazing chemistry. Emily was a spoiled rich girl who went against her parents’ wishes in order to grow as a person. She didn't like the box her family had placed her in so she crashed down the walls. Emily wanted to experience all facets of life. 

Nix. What can you say about Nix? Sexy as hell—a former Marine with mental and physical scars. Who doesn't love a man in uniform? Definitely swoon worthy. He tried so hard to resist his attraction to Emily, but as you can imagine, easier said than done. 

When the two of them finally come together…The sex was off the charts; steamy, passionate, everything you could ask for.

If you are looking for a steamy read with emotional depth don't pass up on this one.
